MSU Observatory
Public Observing Nights Approximately two evenings per month, if the sky is sufficiently clear, the MSU observatory will open its doors for public observing from 9-11 pm. The MSU 0.6 meter telescope will be set up for viewing selected astronomical objects throughout the evening. Also, smaller telescopes are set up in the observatory parking lot, with both local area and MSU astronomers on hand to answer questions. The MSU Observatory is located at the corner of Forest and College Roads, south of the main MSU campus in East Lansing, MI. A map is available at www.pa.msu.edu/astro/observ/map.html. Public Observing Nights at MSU Observatory are co-sponsored by the MSU Physics & Astronomy Department, Abrams Planetarium and the Capital Area Astronomy Club.
