Flora and Fauna Package Select three destinations plus lunch: Nighttime shooting stars, flowers that look like stars, or insects that visit the night sky, see them all with this package! Rediscover the wonders of the universe at Abrams Planetarium. The sky theatre features state of the art shows to delight your audience. Abrams Planetarium offers weekday shows catered to your group and the view of the night sky at the time of your visit. Did you know that a cricket's ears are on its knees? That a fly has taste buds on its feet? Or that an ant can lift 50 times its own body weight, the equivalent of a human lifting two small cars? Let the Department of Entomology's Bug House surprise and educate your group about the wonders of the insect world. The MSU Bug House offers living and preserved critters for your students to view (and even hold!) up-close and personal. 4-H Children’s Garden gives students the opportunity to stop and smell the flowers, while viewing child-themed sculptures. This garden was designed especially for children (and kids at heart). Among the beautiful plants, you will find a twig tree house, a garden house and amphitheater and themed displays. Tours can be self-guided or guided for a nominal fee. Finally, the MSU Museum houses biological and archeological collections and is the home of the Michigan Traditional Arts Program, a statewide program in partnership with Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
